Whether it’s your first facial or your fiftieth, how you prep your skin beforehand can make a big difference in your results. Here’s exactly what I recommend to help you get the most glow from your professional facial treatment.
1. Skip Exfoliation Before Your Facial
Don’t use scrubs, acids, or exfoliating tools at least 48 hours before your appointment. Your skin will already be getting deep exfoliation during your facial, so let me handle that part safely in the treatment room.
2. Avoid Retinol & Active Ingredients
If you're using retinol, AHAs, or BHAs, take a short break a couple of days before your appointment. This helps prevent sensitivity and allows me to customize your facial for the best results.
3. Stay Hydrated for That Natural Glow
Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your facial. Hydrated skin responds better to treatment and absorbs all the high-quality products I use more effectively.
4. Arrive with a Clean Face (If Possible)
No need for a full skincare routine right before your facial. A gentle cleanse is enough. And if you’re coming in with makeup or sunscreen on, no stress. I’ll cleanse your skin as the first step.
5. Tell Me About Your Skincare Products
If you’re on any skincare prescriptions or using specific products at home, let me know. It helps me avoid ingredient interactions and personalize your facial to match your routine.
BONUS TIP: Just Relax. You’re in Good Hands.
This is your time to unwind and take care of yourself. I’ll guide you through everything and tailor the experience to your skin goals. You deserve this glow-up.
